Sleepy Smalls Co is committed to providing safe, effective, and reliable sleep consulting services. Our Safety Policy outlines the measures and ​practices we implement to ensure the well-being of our clients, employees, and the community. This policy is designed to meet regulatory ​requirements and reflect our commitment to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.


2. Certified Consultants

  • All consultants employed by Sleepy Smalls Co are certified in pediatric sleep consulting, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and ​knowledge to provide expert advice.
  • Consultants are required to participate in ongoing professional development to maintain their certifications and stay updated with the latest ​industry practices and research.


3. Professional Indemnity and Liability Insurance

  • Sleepy Smalls Co maintains a minimum of 20 million dollars in professional indemnity insurance to protect against claims of professional ​negligence.
  • We also hold a minimum of 20 million dollars in public and products liability insurance to cover any incidents that may occur during the ​provision of our services, including in-home consultations.


4. Membership in the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants (IACSC)

  • Sleepy Smalls Co is a proud member of the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants (IACSC), which upholds rigorous standards of ​practice and ethics in the field of sleep consulting.
  • Our IACSC membership ensures that our services are aligned with internationally recognized best practices.


5. First Aid and CPR Certification

  • All staff are required to be trained and certified in CPR, with all first aid training being infant-appropriate.
  • Consultants must hold senior first aid certification, ensuring they are prepared to handle medical emergencies that may arise during ​consultations.
  • Regular training and recertification are mandatory to keep first aid and CPR skills current and effective.


6. Police Check and Working with Children's Card

  • All employees must have a current satisfactory police check clearance.
  • Employees are also required to possess a valid Working with Children's Card, ensuring they are cleared to work with minors.


7. In-Home Client Consultations Procedure

  • Consultants follow a strict protocol for in-home consultations to ensure the safety of both clients and consultants.
  • Prior to the visit, consultants conduct a risk assessment of the client's home environment.
  • Consultants carry identification and inform clients of the expected duration and nature of the visit.
  • All interactions are documented, and any concerns regarding safety or well-being are reported and addressed promptly.


8. Ergonomically Set Up Office Spaces

  • Sleepy Smalls Co is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
  • Office spaces are ergonomically designed to prevent strain and injury, with appropriate furniture, equipment, and workstation layouts.
